You’ll start your vacation at Chef Stefano’s historic mountain home, where you’ll learn to cook authentic regional dishes from Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna using fresh local ingredients. Each afternoon includes hands-on cooking classes in a real Italian kitchen — no machines, no shortcuts — just traditional techniques and incredible food shared together.

After the cooking classes, you’ll pack up your new culinary knowledge and head to Florence for a private, stress-free city experience. Visit iconic landmarks, explore markets, taste local wines, shop, and enjoy the cultural heart of Tuscany at a relaxed pace. From the Duomo to Ponte Vecchio to hidden local neighborhoods — you’ll see the best of Florence with an expert who handles the logistics so you can simply enjoy.

Itinerary

Your vacation begins on Mt. Fumaiolo with cooking instruction, ingredient shopping, and local market visits in Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria and the Montefeltro region. After four days of hands-on cooking and exploring nearby villages, you’ll travel to Florence for a four days private city experience.

Explore famous Florence monuments, hidden neighborhoods, artisan shops, churches, museums, restaurants and fancy cafés — all with a guide who knows the shortcuts, the stories, and where to find the best local food.

This is not a tour bus experience — every day is paced around you.

A complete, detailed day-by-day itinerary will be customized around your interests and finalized based on seasonality and opening schedules.

Sample Itinerary

  • Day 1: Pick-up in Florence Airport and drive to Mt. Fumaiolo. Check-in, Aperitif, ‘ate afternoon cooking class at 4pm (3 to 4 hrs) and dinner.
  • Day 2: Breakfast at the local piazza cafe or home, drive to San Piero in Bagno for fresh, seasonal ingredients. Lunch. Late afternoon cooking class at 4pm (3 to 4 hrs) and dinner.
  • Day 3: Breakfast at home or at the local piazza cafe, cooking class (2 hrs) and lunch. Late afternoon cooking class (3 to 4 hrs) and dinner.
  • Day 4: Breakfast at the local piazza cafe or home. Visit Anghiari in Tuscany and drive to Florence and check into a Luxury Hotel located 1 minute walking from Piazza Della Signoria. Free time and afternoon walk, aperitif in Piazza Signoria with a historical overview and dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Day 5: Morning walk with a historical overview of Piazza del Duomo. Lunch at a local restaurant and free time to explore. Afternoon Uffizi Gallery Tour with Private Guide. Aperitif in piazza and dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Day 6: Morning visit to Museo Opera del Duomo and lunch at Mercato di San Lorenzo. Afternoon walk in Oltrarno, savor the city’s best Gelato, enjoy an aperitif and dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Day 7: Breakfast, check-out and drop off at the train station or Airport.

Special note: Museo dell’Accademia and Museo del Bargello can be added to the schedule according to your interest.

Accommodations

For the 4 days of your immersive cooking classes you’ll have exclusive access to Chef Stefano’s 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom historic stone house — completely private for you and your group. This 19th-century retreat features charming antiques, two fireplaces, a traditional stone oven, and a peaceful garden along the early waters of the Tevere (Tiber) River. It’s quiet, authentic, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of cooking and exploring.

In Florence, you’ll stay three nights in a Luxury Hotel located in the heart of the old city center 1 minute walk from Piazza Signoria — just 5min to Ponte Vecchio — within walking distance of authentic restaurants, artisan shops, and Tuscan aperitivo culture.

This all-inclusive culinary vacation is available year-round, based on availability. Pricing is listed per person and includes accommodations, meals, wines, transportation, cooking instruction, guided touring, tastings, museum tickets and all planned activities.
